Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Nomos (the "Service"), an AI-assisted legal research and chat tool made available by SB Group ("we," "us," or "our") to members of a private Discord community. By signing in to or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms should be read together with ourPrivacy Policy.

1. Description of the Service

The Service generates responses to user questions by searching a set of documents designated by server staff (including statutes, precedent, amendments, and templates) and producing an AI-generated answer grounded in that material, with citations to the relevant source. The content made available through the Service pertains to the fictional, in-character legal framework of the Discord community for which it was built. The Service does not provide, and nothing generated by the Service should be construed as, legal advice regarding any real-world matter.

2. No Warranty as to Accuracy

Responses generated by the Service are produced using artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors, including in the interpretation of cited source material. Citations are provided to allow you to verify a response against its underlying source. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for any outcome, in-character or otherwise, arising from reliance on a response generated by the Service.

3. Eligibility and Access

Access to the Service requires authentication via an approved Discord account. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Service for any account, at our sole discretion, including for conduct that violates these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to cause the Service to produce genuinely harmful real-world content — including, without limitation, instructions facilitating violence or the creation of weapons, or content sexualising minors — by framing the request as fictional or in-character;
• Submit automated, scripted, or excessive requests to the Service, which operates on shared, rate-limited third-party infrastructure;
• Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or manipulate the Service's underlying prompts, configuration, or source material in a manner not intended by its ordinary use.

5. Reports and Shared Content

The Service permits users to report a specific response for staff review, and to generate links that make a specific question and response accessible to any person who has the link. These features must not be used to harass another individual or to disclose content you do not intend to make accessible to others.

6. Availability

The Service depends on third-party AI providers and infrastructure operating on a limited basis, and may therefore be interrupted, degraded, or made temporarily unavailable, including for maintenance, without prior notice. We do not guarantee continuous availability, a particular response time, or that any given AI provider will be used to generate a response.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
